    Ok, so here goes. My Journey into the unknown.

    I'd like to think that I'm fairly computer literate and have a pretty good understanding of the workings of computers since building my own computer from parts back in 2014 but something that has always intrigued me is coding.

    I have a Civil Engineering Degree and I dabble in VBA for work purposes now and again and have a decent grasp of macros. Excel is my go to program and I love a spreadsheet but outside of this I've never tried learning a programming language. 

    I enjoy learning new things and having some basics in actual languages such as Spanish and French I have decided that now is the time to learn a programming language. A quick search of the internet later and I've chosen Python as it appears to be popular and easy enough to access with a fair amount of resources available.

    In this blog I aim to document my journey from not understanding anything to... well maybe just understanding a little bit more. Who knows how long this journey will last or where it will end but welcome along for the ride.
